Shadows of the Patriot..

This photo was taken on the 31st of August, 2008 at 12.21am as we were on our way to the car to go home after celebrating the Merdeka Countdown in Mutiara Damansara. We were both quite tired because of the shoppings before that but the tiredness cannot stop her from smiling and her eagerness to celebrate the countdown with great feeling of patriotism instilled inside her. Her great sense of nationalism always greater than me as she cares more. In this picture, she wanted to show her respect and love to this country by saluting to the flag. She always comes with great ideas when taking photos so that there will be some kind of meaning in the photos.

About the background in this photo, this is a building which I'm not sure of the name but it lays right opposite to the Mercedes showroom building and just behind the Damansara Perdana Petronas service station. There were not much people this time as many of them were enjoying the performances at the stage which was located between IKEA and The Curve. We escaped early because those performances and parties were too much for me as it doesn't show any pinch of patriotism or whatever related to this country, just a mess and bunch of stupid yougsters playing and fooling around like it was a night club or party. We were there just to show our appreciation and see how Malaysians celebrate this historical day of independence, and yet I feel sorry because I can see only one Jalur Gemilang that one of the people in the crowd had brought. At the building, there were only few guards behind looking at us. Maybe they want to make sure that we don't mess the place or do anything wrong such as vandalism or something. We are not bad people, dear guards.. The night was clear and quite hot and there were many cops around making sure that everything is going on smoothly and no crime going on, they also guided the traffic around as there were so many cars and other vehicles.

Calling of Nature

Do you miss,
the white sand,
the smooth breeze,
the sparkling blue sea,
the strong waves,
the fresh air,
and most important,
our moments surfing here?

Dude,
we used to rock on many beaches,
and when chicks dig us,
also when other lads challenge us,
there's nothing can stop us,
for we are strong together.

Dude,
since you moved away,
I kinda miss you,
even the beaches and the sea miss you,
I know you have to move on,
to look after your siblings,
after the tragic accident and your loss,
but, will you be back here again?
to answer the nature calls?
I'm still here for you man..

a poem from a friend in Hawaii..where we used to work and play together..

I'm in Paradise...

In this hour,
I have nothing in my mind,
except peacefulness,
I can feel the breeze,
the white waves and clear blue sea,
sparkling in front of my eyes.

The sea reminds me of the paradise,
where everybody craving to go,
where everything looks beautiful,
where no trouble come passing by,
and now,
I am in one,
a paradise on earth.

No more noise,
no more hustle bustle of the city,
no more pollutions,
it's just me and the sea,
life has been beautiful,
and I really wish,
that you can be here too.

to dear Mummy and Daddy..

Do You Remember?

Do you remember?
when we first met,
when we share glances and smiles,
you hardly blink,
and my heart was beating fast.

From your eyes,
I know it's you,
who will become my man,
and then you became shy,
shy enough to dance alone,
and then you came,
trembling,
asking me to dance with you.

We dance,
and dance,
like this world is ours,
nobody around to bother us,
we become closer and closer,
and then my heart is yours,
and your heart become mine,
we tied the knot and never let go.

Now I'm far away,
I have to go for sake of duty,
duty to the country,
I miss you so much,
don't worry my dear,
I'll be there for you again,
and so we can dance together again,
so that you can remember,
how strong our love is,
no matter where we are.

I love you my dear husband!!

buckets of love,
Elena
